With the Detroit Lions set to take on the Baltimore Ravens in week 13 of the 2017 NFL Season, here is all the important info you need for today’s game.

The Detroit Lions wrap up the third quarter of their 2017 season today with a road game at the Baltimore Ravens. A win puts the Lions in position to fight for a wild card berth in the season’s final quarter while a loss might set up a hill too difficult to climb for a postseason berth.

Last week’s loss to the Vikings all but takes an NFC North title off the table and the difficulty the Lions could have in winning a wild card is their outlook in terms of potential tiebreaker scenarios. Head-to-head losses to the likes of the New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons means the Lions can’t afford to finish in a tie with those teams and expect to continue playing beyond week 17.

For now, that’s out of the Lions’ control. What is in their control is their last five games, including today against the Ravens. It could be argued today’s game represents the most difficult game remaining on the Lions schedule. Come out with a win and the playoff outlook would be looking a lot better. Lose and the margin for error is probably gone, but all will not be lost just yet.
