The Detroit Lions ruled out Travis Swanson and Rick Wagner for Saturday’s game against the Chicago Bears, but expect two playmakers to return to action.

The Detroit Lions‘ injury report is significantly shorter than last week, which featured game designations of either “out” or “questionable” for a total of 11 players.

This week, the list is down to five players, two of which are ruled out for Saturday against the Chicago Bears.

Expected to return for the Lions are Ameer Abdullah and Jamal Agnew, two players that the team leans on for explosive plays.

Now for the carnage:

STATUS: OUT

C Travis Swanson, RT Rick Wagner

The Lions’ offensive line has been a mess as far as injuries this season, and Week 15 is no different.

Travis Swanson went from practicing on a limited basis last week with a knee injury to not practicing at all this week due to a concussion. Graham Glasgow has performed admirably in his absence, and will be called on yet again against the Bears.

Rick Wagner will miss his second straight game, though not due to the neck injury that kept him out of practice last week. The starting right tackle is dealing with an ankle injury that prevented him from practicing this week as well.

Corey Robinson, who garnered an 84.4 overall grade from ProFootballFocus last week,  will suit up in place of Wagner.

STATUS: QUESTIONABLE

DE  Ezekiel Ansah

The beat continues for Ansah (ankle), who turned in limited practices for the second straight week. He played well last week, accounting for seven total tackles (six solo), including the game-ending sack of Jameis Winston.

G T.J. LangT Emmett Cleary

When the Lions signed T.J. Lang away from the Green Bay Packers this offseason, Aaron Rodgers was not happy. Lang is a gamer, and he has proved as much in his first season with the Lions.

Lang (foot) has dealt with this injury for a couple of weeks now, and it kept him out of practice twice this week before a limited session on Thursday. He is questionable, but expected to grind it out on Saturday.

Next: What to watch for in week 15

CHICAGO BEARS INJURIES

The Bears have listed four players questionable, most notably tight end Adam Shaheen. Shaheen (chest) has emerged as a reliable target in the Bears offense of late, and victimized the Lions four weeks ago with four catches for 41 yards and a touchdown.

Starting strong safety Adrian Amos (hamstring) and nose tackle Eddie Goldman (hip) are also questionable.
