Detroit Lions draft 2018: Players to watch in the East-West Shrine Game

Brian Allen is no stranger to Lions fans. The Michigan State center has been in the news all week at the Shrine game practices because he is another player that seems to be out of place at this game. I am not a Spartans fan, but seeing Allen listed as a sixth-round pick or even as an undraftable player has baffled me all year.
I think Allen is one of the top three centers available in the draft in 2018. He will hear his name called, and it will be sooner than later on day three of the draft. State fans should be watching the Shrine game if for no other reason than to watch Allen school some chumps. The Lions are among the more than 20 teams that have met with Allen at the Shrine game this week, and he will be wearing number 64 for the East club.
Greg Senat was a two-sport athlete at Wagner College. He took four years off from the sport, focusing on basketball for his first two seasons of college athletics. In 2016 Senat and the Seahawks basketball team won the Northeast Conference regular-season championship and Senat decided to join the football team.
Two years later, Senat is an intriguing prospect with the length, size and athletic ability to be a fine project for the Lions new offensive line coach. He met with the Lions this week during practice, which gives fans a little extra reason to pay attention when Senat is on the field. He measured at 6’6″ and 294 lbs, answering questions about whether he had the sand in his pants to play at the next level. Senat will don number 72 for the West unit.
