The NHL’s best, including the Detroit Red Wings’ Mike Green, are on display today as the NHL All-Star game is played in a division tournament format.

The NHL All-Star game hasn’t been played in recent Winter Olympics years as part of the league’s Olympic break but this year’s game will go on. NHL players not being able to go represent their respective countries is the Olympics’ loss but the league’s gain as the regular season schedule goes on uninterrupted and the All-Star game goes on as normal.

In fact, today’s event consists of three games as the league’s four divisions will play a tournament to split a $1 million prize. Detroit Red Wings defenseman Mike Green is the team’s lone representative on the Atlantic Division squad. The Atlantic is dominated by players from the league-leading Tampa Bay Lightning, who get to play in front of their home fans.

Here is all the important information for today’s showcase.
