NFL Pro Bowl 2018: Game time, TV, live stream, rosters
By Zac Snyder
The NFL hosts the 2018 edition of its annual All-Star Game this afternoon as the AFC takes on the NFC this afternoon in the 2018 NFL Pro Bowl.
Detroit Lions fans have one more opportunity to see two players hit the field for one last time this season. For their excellence on the field this season, cornerback Darius Slay and guard T.J. Lang earned spots in the 2018 NFL Pro Bowl.
Slay was the lone Lion named when the initial rosters were announced but Lang got his name added as a replacement for Brandon Scherff.
Despite arguably being the conferences best corner this season, Slay will come off the bench for the NFC squad. Xavier Rhodes of the Minnesota Vikings and Patrick Peterson of the Arizona Cardinals were named the starters.
Regardless of starting or coming off the bench, being named a Pro Bowler has major significance for Slay, who now sees his 2018 base salary bumped by $550,000 thanks to an escalator built into the contract extension he signed prior to the 2016 season.
