The Detroit Lions have plenty of stars, but what about the players who are getting overlooked that might contribute to the success of this team?

The Detroit Lions have big-name players up and down the roster: Matthew Stafford, Darius Slay, Golden Tate, Ziggy Ansah. I could go on but you get the point. These are the players that take over headlines. They are the first many people think of when they think of the Detroit Lions.

Then there are the players who get overlooked or not talked about. These are the players that can take over and you might not even notice a difference. They get the job done, but they are not going to make headlines.

These are under the radar free agent signings or undrafted free agents. This group of players will provide much-needed depth at certain positions and flex in and out when needed. They will make you say things like, “I’ve never heard of him” or “when did he come to the team.”

There are plenty of players on the Lions who have flown under the radar in many aspects. I am going to go over a few of those who have been overlooked but can make contributions to the team and open some eyes in the process.
