1. Will the rookie class keep dominating?

Last week the Detroit Lions rookies made a name for themselves. Frank Ragnow did not allow a single QB pressure. Kerryon Johnson was awarded the highest running back grade in the league by PFF. Tracy Walker looked good in spot duty recording three tackles. Da’Shawn Hand was a bright spot for the defensive line. Tyrell Crosby played well in his debut. Nobody couldn’t have asked for a better opening act from the Lions rookie class.

With a high expectation now from fans, everyone will be anticipating the same this week versus the Giants. With Johnson breaking onto the scene like he did, it’s possible the Lions will limit his snaps and see what they have with the other running backs. Walker and Crosby should be getting more snaps this week. Depending on how much Ansah plays, we could get an extended look on Hand. Ragnow has solidified his spot on the offensive line and probably see the same amount as snaps as last week.

Ragnow and Johnson look to have finally brought some stability to the run game. The hand looks to have a bigger role on the defensive line than originally anticipated. Crosby provided much-needed depth for the offensive line. Walker is taking the necessary steps in special teams and spot duty. All of them should bring some impact to the field this season. If the rookies can bring the same performance as they did last week, it will make a lot of people very happy for the future.
