The Detroit Lions have registered another loss in the preseason against the Giants. Some of the players did not have their best performance and hoping to rebound in their next game.
The Detroit Lions suffered another loss at the hands of the New York Giants. Bringing the Lions preseason record to 0-2. The final score was 30-17, but for anyone who watched the game, it was a lot worse than that. Thanks to two fourth-quarter touchdowns it made the game seemed closer than it actually was.
With the first team offense out there for a majority of the first half, the performance was lackluster. The game was full of mistakes by players who should have an impact on this team. Anywhere from poor blocking to questionable decision making. With this being the first extensive look of the first team it made quite a few people a little worried for the future.
There were some good performances though. LeGarrette Blount was a bright spot for the running game where the offensive line was giving no help. He was able to get tough yards and covert short yardage situations. Darius Slay played like a No.1 corner. He registered three pass breakups and was making play after play. Theo Riddick showed why he is the best third-down back in the league. He was great in pass blocking and a receiving mismatch against opposing linebackers.
Unfortunately, where there are studs there will be some duds. Everyone will be hoping they have a bounce-back game in their contest against the Bucs.
Here are three players who need to absolve their performance for this weeks contest.
