The Detroit Red Wings have a total of seven players, and two coaches at the 2019 IIHF World Championship along with expected signee, Oliwer Kaski.

With another disappointing Detroit Red Wings season come and gone, we now only have to look ahead at what is to come for the Red Wings. With six total players at the 2019 IIHF World Championship in Slovakia, this allows Detroit Red Wings’ fans to see our players in action yet again. As the 2019 NHL Playoffs continue to dwindle down to the finalists, the IIHF worlds offer players an opportunity to either develop confidence in their game or build upon momentum for the next season.

Regardless of what country you favor, if you are a Detroit Red Wings’ fan, there is plenty to keep a watchful eye on. Despite many great players not playing in this year’s tournament such as none other than Team Canada’s Conor McDavid, there are still many talented players all fighting for bragging rights.

In the 2019 IIHF World Championship, the Red Wings have seven players including Oliwer Kaski, from five different countries! The best part of having all our players involved in the tournament is that we get to root for all five of them.

For players such as Kaski, Hronek, and Rybar; they have plenty to prove as they all will want to have strong outings to either solidify themselves as NHL players or in Hronek’s case, build off of the tail-end of the 18-19 season. With that being said, it’s time to take a look at the progress shown thus far from our seven players in this years, 2019 IIHF World Championship Tournament.
