That just about does it, the Detroit Red Wings added eleven players to beat a dead horse and recap it all again here’s who they selected in a list format.

More from Detroit Jock City

First Round: Moritz Seider (D)

Second Round: Antti Tuomisto (D), Robert Mastrosimone (F), Albert Johansson (D)

Third Round: Albin Grewe (F)

Fourth Round: Ethan Phillips (F)

Fifth Round: Cooper Moore (D)

Sixth Round: Elmer Söderblom (W), Gustav Berglund (D)

Seventh Round: Kirill Tyutyayev (F), Carter Gylander (G)

Here are some bold predictions for the 2019 draft class as this offseason progresses on. The Red Wings have forty contracts out of fifty available going into the NHL Draft this year. This leaves room for some free agency signings which should definitely happen, *cough cough* DEFENSEMAN!

I would speculate that Morit Seider, Antti Tuomisto, Albert Johansson, Albin Grewe, and Kirill Tyutyayev will automatically get their entry-level contracts and end up with Grand Rapids. Mastrosimone is a possibility since he was a second-round selection, but he is committed to play college hockey at Boston University alongside fifth-round selection Ethan Phillips, so they may let these boys get some NCAA experience under their belt.

Next. Wings shockingly pick Moritz Seider Sixth Overall. dark

Cooper Moore will definitely have the chance to play at the University of North Dakota for his NCAA experience before he gets his entry-level contract. Carter Gylander is going to have time to develop like Filip Larsson, as I mentioned above. Gustav Berglund and Elmer Söderblom are both coming from the Frolunda HC organization, so the Red Wings might allow those two to play together some before they get entry-level contracts. Söderblom is also only seventeen, so it would be shocking to see him get signed immediately.
