Here’s the NFL daily fantasy football lineup to play in week two
It’s week two for daily fantasy football! Here’s the lineup to play if you want a good shot at winning on Sunday, September 15th.
Week two is here; it’s time for your fantasy football fix! Last week’s lineup mostly broke even due to solid performances from Carson Wentz, Mark Ingram, and Dalvin Cook, although duds from Dante Pettis and the Browns defense kept it out of good money. Let’s try again this week.
Again, my emphasis is primarily cash games, with an eye on getting into the money in tournaments. These plays are primarily valued for their high floors and low risk, although some of them have a chance to go off for big games.
I always play my own lineups. I will be playing this lineup, among others featuring a lot of the same players, on Sunday. This lineup is optimized for DraftKings salary in the 13-game Sunday slate. Don’t bet what you can’t afford to lose.
Let’s do this.

QB | Tom Brady, New England | $6,400
Thomas Brady is about to throw for a thousand touchdowns with Antonio Brown to throw to against a terrible, terrible Dolphins team. Brady is a potential slate-breaker and a must-start in at least some of your cash lineups.
RB | Marlon Mack, Indianapolis | $5,900
Down eight in the last two minutes, the Jacoby Brissett-led Colts… ran the ball with Mack. The Colts really want to run the ball, apparently, and Mack is getting almost all of the carries. Mack doesn’t even need to be involved in the passing game to get 20+ carries. His floor is fantastic for this price.
RB | Josh Jacobs, Oakland | $4,700
DraftKings posted of salaries for this week on Monday, before Josh Jacobs got nearly all the carries for the Raiders on Monday night. He is very undervalued for a guy getting all those looks going into a 53-total clash with Kansas City. He’ll be in a lot of lineups, but you might just need to play him in order to win.
WR | Cooper Kupp, LA Rams | $6,000
With the excellent Marshon Lattimore probably spending most of his time on Robert Woods or Brandin Cooks, Cooper Kupp will consistently draw matchups with the Saints’ weaker corners. Jared Goff likes throwing to Kupp as it is, but a high-scoring game and favorable matchup give Kupp high upside.
WR | DeAndre Hopkins, Houston | $8,100
With all the salary saved at other positions, a red-hot Nuk Hopkins is never a bad play. The Jaguars have a lot of talent in their secondary, but they are coming off the Sammy Watkins Show against Kansas City a week ago, and Hopkins had their number in their last meeting, racking up 147 yards on 12 catches.
WR | JuJu Smith-Schuster, Pittsburgh | $7,500
The Seahawks secondary is not what it once was, and with the Steelers at home looking to recover from a terrible week one performance, JuJu has a high floor and a high ceiling as the Steelers’ top offensive producer.
TE | Delanie Walker, Tennessee | $3,500
Walker caught two touchdowns last week, re-cementing himself as a crucial part of Marcus Mariota’s progression, especially in the red zone, when he’s healthy. Perhaps a little touchdown-dependent, but with such a low salary, it won’t take much to make him worth a spot in your lineup, especially against the Colts, one of the worst teams in the NFL at defending against tight ends.
TE | Mark Andrews, Baltimore | $3,800
Andrews was Lamar Jackson’s favorite target last week, catching eight of the 17 passes Jackson completed in his romp over Miami, as well as a touchdown. He’s questionable, so it’s worth keeping an eye on his status, but if he keeps up even part of that target share, Andrews is a solid start against a Cardinals team that was thrashed by Lions’ tight end T.J. Hockenson a week ago (Worth mentioning that Hockenson is probably a good play against the Chargers this week, too).
DST | New England | $3,700
If you’ve got the room, pay up at defense this week. Miami shows no signs of being able to move the ball effectively and the Patriots just stifled the Steelers offense last week. High floor, very low risk.
