It’s week four for daily fantasy football! Here’s the lineup to play if you want a good shot at winning on Sunday, September 22nd.

With only 12 games in the main slate and a handful of low expected totals; this Sunday is a little thinner, but there’s still plenty of opportunities to win in daily fantasy football in week four.

As always, my emphasis is primarily cash games, with an eye on getting into the money in tournaments. These plays are primarily valued for their high floors and low risk, although some of them have a chance to go off for big games.

I always play my own lineups. I will be playing this lineup, among others featuring a lot of the same players, on Sunday. This lineup is optimized for DraftKings salary in the 12-game Sunday slate. Don’t bet what you can’t afford to lose.

More from Detroit Jock City

Let’s do this.

QB | Patrick Mahomes | vs. Detroit | $7,500

Don’t outsmart yourself this week. If there is one quarterback guaranteed to make value, it’s Mahomes. 300 yards and a pair of touchdowns is basically his floor, and he’s playing in a dome against a team missing its top corner.

RB | Austin Ekeler | vs. Miami | $8,000

Still keeping an eye on this one, as Melvin Gordon will return for the Chargers this week.

Ekeler is still expected to be the lead back for Los Angeles with Justin Jackson likely to miss, and the Dolphins’ defense is the worst in football. Ekeler has scored four total touchdowns this season and consistently gets a half-dozen catches per game. If Gordon is used similarly to Jackson this week, as expected, Ekeler is still a high-floor play. Keep checking for updates, though, just in case.

RB | Wayne Gallman, Jr. | vs. Washington | $4,600

*Someone* has to get carries with Saquon Barkley sidelined, and Gallman looks like the guy. With the emergence of Danny Dimes (Daniel Jones) and the Giants’ newfound ability to pass the ball, Gallman probably won’t get the same volume Barkley commanded, but he’ll be involved in the passing game, and a touchdown means he easily makes value. He’ll be in a lot of lineups, but given his salary and upside, he’s a tough fade.

WR | Keenan Allen | vs. Miami | $7,600

See Ekeler, Austin. Miami’s secondary is terrible, and with almost every other receiving option for the Chargers hobbled by injuries, Allen is primed for a huge target share in the best matchup in professional football.

WR | Mecole Hardman | vs. Detroit | $5,100

Hardman is running a lot of the routes that the injured Tyreek Hill would generally be running in this offense, namely, the deep ones. Mahomes is committed to spreading the ball around, but Hardman is getting more target share now, and his average depth of target means that he should get some looks against the Lions secondary.

WR | Parris Campbell | vs. Oakland | $4,900

Someone has to score in this game for the Colts, and with T.Y. Hilton and Devin Funchess out, Campbell looks like the next man up for wide receiver targets. There are some other guys who could take Campbell’s looks (Zach Pascal in particular), but Campbell should be the favorite to score among the Colts’ receivers.

TE | Evan Engram | vs. Washington | $5.700

Engram has already developed a rapport with Dimes Comma Daniel, and against an ailing Washington secondary, there’s no reason to expect his targets to decline. High upside play with a decent floor.

FLEX | T.J. Hockensen | vs. Kanas City | $3,300

Given that we’re playing so many Kansas City players, it makes sense to run it back with a Lion. Hockensen has been quiet since going off in week one, but Kansas City struggles to defend tight ends, and the Lions will need to throw the ball to keep up with Mahomes and company. Seems likely to make value given the matchup.

DST | Seahawks | vs. Arizona | $3,300

Playing a defense is all about giving yourself the best shot to make a big splash play, and given how many snaps the Cardinals run and how many times they drop back to pass with a rookie quarterback and below-average offensive line, there should be an opportunity for Seattle here.
