It’s week five for daily fantasy football! Here’s the lineup to play if you want a good shot at winning on Sunday, October 5th.

Y’all, I *agonized* over this one. It’s a weird slate for daily fantasy football.

As always, my emphasis is primarily cash games, with an eye on getting into the money in tournaments. These plays are primarily valued for their high floors and low risk, although some of them have a chance to go off for big games.

I always play my own lineups. I will be playing this lineup, among others featuring a lot of the same players, on Sunday. This lineup is optimized for DraftKings’ salary in the 12-game Sunday slate. Don’t bet what you can’t afford to lose.

Let’s do this.

QB | Jameis Winston | at New Orleans | $6,200

The Superdome is a perfect spot for a shootout, and Winston is starting to air the ball out to his targets. Winston is probably going to throw for a lot of yards and multiple touchdowns, especially if this game gets into the 30s or 40s.

RB | Ezekiel Elliott | vs. Green Bay | $8,300

The Packers give up a lot of rushing yards, and Elliot is literally getting all the carries for Dallas. He’s expensive, but even his floor is likely high enough for him to make value, and there’s certainly potential for a huge game here in a high-total matchup.

RB | James White | vs. Washington | $5,000

He had one rushing yard last week, and I honestly don’t care. With Rex Burkhead out, White should continue to get quite a bit of target share, and in a game against a bad Washington defense, I expect a touchdown and a fistful of catches, which is honestly all you need here.

WR | Mike Evans | at New Orleans | $7,100

See Winston, Jameis. You could play Chris Godwin ($6,900) at this spot if you want, but Evans is the proven talent. In his last game at the Superdome, he caught seven catches for 147 yards and a touchdown, and I’m not scared of the Saints’ secondary.

WR | Auden Tate | vs. Arizona | $3,500

Auden Tate is a big target and has averaged eight targets a game for Bengals in the last two weeks. With John Ross out, his workload will likely increase, and at his price, he only needs a few looks to make value.

WR | Michael Thomas | vs. Tampa Bay | $6,600

When playing the Winston-Evans stack, it makes sense to run it back with Thomas. His production has not significantly dipped with Teddy Bridgewater under center (even last week when the offense only scored 12 points), and the Bucs give up a lot of passing yards. The Dome Effect should help Thomas, who has 19 catches for 218 yards on 22 targets in two home games this season.

TE | Lance Kendricks | vs. Denver | $2,700

Where are you going? Come back here! With literally every other tight end hurt for Los Angeles, Kendricks is almost a lock to make at least a couple of catches, given how much Philip Rivers likes throwing to tight ends. If he gets a zero, you can make up for it elsewhere. If he gets three catches, he makes value. If he scores, he potentially breaks the slate open for you with his insanely low rostering numbers. Incredibly low risk.

FLEX | James Conner | vs. Baltimore | $6,300

This one is very subject to change based on morning updates. Check Twitter. For now, Conner is healthy and should get a lot of touches against a Baltimore defense that gives up nearly five yards a carry.

DST | Patriots | vs. Washington | $4,300

Play the Patriots defense until further notice, especially against the Washington turnover machine. It doesn’t matter who starts for Washington, and their quarterback will be running for his life and probably throwing picks.
