It’s week 16 in the NFL. Here’s the NFL daily fantasy football lineup to play to win on Sunday, December 22, 2019.

The last two weeks have been excellent for daily fantasy football for you if you’ve been playing these lineups and following up with me on Twitter for lineup updates. Let’s keep it going as the season winds down.

As always, my emphasis is primarily cash games, with an eye on getting into the money in tournaments. These plays are primarily valued for their high floors and low risk, although some of them have a chance to go off for big games.

I always play my own lineups. I will be playing this lineup, among others featuring a lot of the same players, on Sunday. This lineup is optimized for DraftKings’ salary in the main Sunday slate. Don’t bet what you can’t afford to lose.

Okay, let’s do this.

More from Detroit Jock City

QB | Matt Ryan | vs. Jacksonville | $6,200

Jacksonville’s secondary has fallen off a cliff since Jalen Ramsey left, and the entire franchise is in disarray. Ryan is at home with a potent passing game in the dome.

RB | Joe Mixon | @ Miami | $6,600

I’m usually hesitant to play backs on DraftKings, who aren’t involved much in the passing game. Still, Mixon consistently gets 20+ carries, and the Dolphins’ run defense is not at all intimidating.

RB | Dion Lewis | vs. New Orleans | $4,300

This is very much a speculative play. The Titans gave Derrick Henry a questionable designation on Friday and signed a running back to their practice squad. Those are both pretty strong indications to me that Henry is likely not playing, which would give Lewis almost all of the reps in a run-heavy offense. Keep an eye on 11:30 inactives, as Henry’s status changes the entire lineup.

WR | Michael Thomas | @ Tennessee | $9,300

Thomas is having one of the greatest seasons in NFL history and has scored 25 points in all but one game since week seven. If you can afford his salary, play him.

WR | Tyler Lockett | vs, Arizona | $7,000

Lockett appears to finally be healthy, and he’s taking on one of the worst secondaries in football as Russell Wilson‘s best target.

WR | Russell Gage | vs. Jacksonville | $4,400

Gage has seen an increase in his workload since Calvin Ridley‘s injury and the Jaguars’ secondary is terrible. I imagine he’ll be a primary target for Ryan and should make value at his low salary.

TE | Austin Hooper | vs. Jacksonville | $4,400

Check back with me on this one in the morning, as I don’t know if I want this much Falcons equity, but this looks like an excellent bounce-back spot for Hooper, who has not played as well as he was prior his knee injury.

FLEX | DeAndré Washington | @ LA Chargers | $4,000

With Josh Jacobs officially out, the Raiders will be turning to Washington to carry the majority of their ground game. Way too much opportunity to pass up here at this salary.

Tigers add Jonathan Schoop and C.J. Cron. dark. Next

DST | Washington | vs. NY Giants | $2,800

Do you know who leads the league in quarterback hurries per dropback? Surprisingly enough, it’s Washington. The Giants are bringing back Danny Dimes from injury, but have turned the ball over more than any team that isn’t quarterbacked by Jameis Winston this season. At $2,800, Washington looks like a low-risk high-value-equity play.
