WR | Davante Adams | vs. Lions | $8,600

Whelp, we have Aaron Rodgers fired up, so why not pair him with his top pass-catcher, Davante Adams?  Adams is coming off of a special week one performance where he torched the Minnesota Vikings, making 14 catches on 17 targets, totaling 156 yards and two touchdowns.

Adams will have a favorable matchup any way you shake it against a depleted Detroit Lions secondary. He will either have an opportunity to take rookie Jeff Okudah to school while making his first career start or play against the second-year man Amani Oruwariye if Desmond Trufant is forced to miss the game.

WR | Russell Gage | @ Cowboys | $5,400

Again, we’re looking for a few players with a value that carries a cheapish price tag.  Russell Gage made nine receptions on 12 targets in week one for the Atlanta Falcons.  He was one of three Falcons to eclipse the 100-yard mark as veteran quarterback Matt Ryan likes to spread the football around.

The Cowboys will pay special attention to Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, which leaves plenty of opportunities for Gage to make an impact.

WR | Darius Slayton | @ Bears | $5,300

Precisely the same philosophy here selecting Darius Slayton as Russell Gage a pick ago.  We’re looking for a player who can make an impact and not cost a fortune after picking McCaffery, Rodgers, and Adams.

Slayton notched 25 fantasy football points in week one.  He’s quickly become second-year quarterback Daniel Jones’ most reliable receiver.  Slayton is also the New York Giants big-play threat and down-field target.

In the loss to Pittsburgh in week one, Slayton made six receptions scoring two touchdowns and totaling 102 yards.  It’s not a great matchup, but expect the Giants to be working from behind, and that leaves Slayton plenty of opportunities.
