Second: Is Riddick committed to building around Matthew Stafford?

Riddick on-air absolutely loves veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford, but is that simply just an on-air topic, or does he genuinely feel the organization can still build around the soon to be, 33-year old gunslinger?

This needs to be one of the main questions asked in this interview today.  This also begs the question, how does Sheila Ford Hamp and president Rod Wood feel about Stafford?  Many of us just assume the best quarterback the franchise has seen will be sent packing to a contender in the offseason, thinking the new regime will prefer to build from the ground up around a young quarterback.

What if Sheila adores Stafford the way her mother does?  Is that even being considered?  I’m a ‘Stafford guy,’ and I understand wanting to move on from him, understanding his age along with his injury history.  But on the other hand, the organization may feel like they owe it to Stafford to allow him to go elsewhere to have an opportunity to win, somewhere like Indianapolis, who is a quarterback short of being a Super Bowl contender.
