Fantasy Football: Draftkings tournament values and targets for Week 15
Here are some running backs that you should target for your main slate fantasy football lineup this Sunday!
The two top dogs at running back this week are Derrick Henry and Dalvin Cook. These two have been leaps and bounds, in a league of their own for fantasy football owners, and this week will be no different.
- Derrick Henry ( vs DET) – $9,500
- Dalvin Cook (vs CHI) – $9,000
When it comes to running backs, I’m willing to pay the price here.
Want to talk about a perfect storm? Derrick Henry is on track to his second straight rushing title after going for 215 yards off of 27 carries with two touchdowns against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 14.
Henry has had three games this season in which he scored less than 10 points, but if you exclude those outliers, he is averaging 26.6 PPG. What really makes this week mouthwatering, though, is that he faces the Detroit Lions. The same Lions defense that has allowed the most rushing yards to opposing running backs in 2020.
The Tennessee Titans will continue to run the football, and Henry should get 25+ carries and should feast on the Lions Sunday afternoon. Pay up here.
Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor is coming off a massive 33 point game in Week 14 and IS the most talented running back on the roster. He has a big-play ability similar to Henry and has shown it lately on the field. The offense is beginning to shift to having him more involved — as it should.
At $7,200, I really like Taylor here. Admittedly, something could go wrong, and he doesn’t get the 20 carries he deserves. However, I believe Indy will continue to hand him the ball. The offensive line is a bit banged up, but I still think he produces in Week 15.
The Los Angles Rams are favored by 17 points at home this week against the New York Jets. Over the past two weeks, Cam Akers has 29 and 21 touches. That’s a lot. The feeling here is that Akers has another big game, especially if the Rams turn to running the ball and the clock.
One worry here is that Rams Head Coach Sean McVay gives Malcolm Brown considerable work. From a coaching standpoint, that’s probably smart if they are indeed playing with a lead, but that won’t help us in fantasy football and daily fantasy sports. I’ll have a lot of exposure to Akers, and you should too.
Kenyan Drake has quietly been producing for his price, and Draftkings continues to keep him priced fairly low at $5.5k. His percentage of offensive snaps has dropped to around the 50% mark, but it has not hurt his production. In his last three showings, he’s put up fantasy scores of 16, 13.8, and 24.3.
They’re obviously not mind-blowing numbers, but when you’re searching for some value, he’s not a bad option. Consider adding Drake to your lineup in Week 15 if you want to keep it cost-effective at the running back position.
