Take a look at three Christmas wishes for the Detroit Tigers 2021 season!

The Detroit Tigers have not made a single free agent acquisition yet this offseason. However, as Christmas Eve is upon us and Christmas Day on the horizon, take a moment to look ahead. Sunday, February 27th, 2021, players should be in Florida for Spring Training, which sounds like a long shot amid this pandemic.

The hope has been that the Tigers will show some improvements in 2021, and things will start coming together slowly. It’s been a tough rebuild for this organization, but turning things around relatively quickly and pushing to get back to competition has been working out.

While the 2020 big league season being thrown into limbo and eventually turned into a 60-game sprint is not great for anyone, it was an exceptional chance for the prospects to poke through. The prospects were able to get their first starts, their first at-bats, and just first appearances in the big leagues.

When Casey Mize and Tarik Skubal were called up, it was a monumental day for the Tigers pitching staff; Isaac Paredes being called up was big for the offense. There were positives in the 2020 season, and rolling those into 2021 should call for a continuing trend upwards for this organization.

A new coaching staff, a new season, a feeling that there will be new faces in the lineup sooner than later should leave fans pretty excited for what is to come.

That being said, Tigers fans have their Christmas lists, hoping to check off some things, so here are three “Christmas wishes” that fans should be looking for in 2021.
