Wide Receiver starts

Wide Receiver. Detroit Lions. Marvin Jones. 1. player. 50.

Wide receiver Marvin Jones has been one of the few bright spots on an otherwise gloomy Detroit Lions team over the past month. The ninth-year pro has had to step it up while teammates Kenny Golladay and Danny Amendola have battled the injury bug for much of 2020. As of late, Jones has posted solid fantasy and overall numbers, despite quarterback Matthew Stafford playing through multiple injuries.

In three of his last four games, Jones has seen 12 targets come his way and had eight in Week 14. He has 28 receptions for 324 receiving yards and two touchdowns during that span. Last week he went for 112-yards through the air off of 10 receptions, including one of those touchdowns against the Tennessee Titans.

It’s looking as though Tampa Bay could be without star cornerback Carlton Davis in Week 16, and the Bucs defense has already allowed 78 catches for 1,007-yards and seven touchdowns to opposing receivers in the previous four games.

If Stafford starts, start Jones with confidence.

Wide Receiver. Cleveland Browns. Jarvis Landry. 2. player. 53.

It’s really hard not to like all of the Cleveland Browns fantasy football relevant, skilled position players against the New York Jets in Week 16. The Jets defense is simply not very good. Over the past five games, the Jets have allowed 77 catches, 874-yards, and seven touchdowns to opposing receivers on 110 targets.

Furthermore, both Jarvis Landry and quarterback Baker Mayfield have found a rhythm over the previous four games. Landry has scored at least 11 PPR points in each of the four, with three games of at least 19 points.

Landry seems like a relatively safe play this Sunday.
