The Detroit Lions play host to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16; here’s the preview!

Well, this is certainly an interesting matchup at first glance. For starters, the Lions will be without most of their coaching staff after several positive COVID-19 tests this week in the Motor City. This includes interim Head Coach Darrell Bevell.

50. 9-5. FOX. 5-9. 48. Saturday, December 26. Buccaneers -9.5. 1:00 PM ET

Also, we have the Lions defense plagued with the task of stopping the ageless Tom Brady-lead offense of the Buccaneers. Tampa’s offense has been playing well as of late. Detroit’s defense has not.

Flip-flopping things around, the Lions’ offense has been decent. They played pretty well last week, considering the long list of injuries we all had to read through, including Matthew Stafford‘s thumb and rib injuries and the fractured throat of Frank Ragnow.

I still cringe just thinking about the throat injury Ragnow played through. Tampa Bay possesses the league-best rush defense but struggles considerably against the pass. Particularly as of late.

We’ll cover where you need to go to watch the game, the history of the Detroit Lions vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, target three players in Honolulu Blue to keep an eye on, some keys to the game, and to wrap things up, let’s all throw some predictions out there!

There’s an outline for fans looking for what’s to come in this preview. Dive in with the history of this matchup coming up first!
