The Detroit Red Wings are hosting the 2021 NHL Prospect Tournament that runs from September 16-20th. It will provide a unique opportunity for Red Wings fans and hockey fans alike. Those who are missing their fix of Red Wings hockey should be jumping for joy.

It was announced with the schedule announcement that the Detroit Red Wings will be streaming games from the 2021 NHL Prospect Tournament for fans. It will allow them to get a look at some of the Red Wings’ exciting young talents who are on the tournament roster.

Beyond that, it will be a chance to watch some hockey and watch the Red Wings youngsters before training camp kicks off. It’s been a while without Red Wings hockey so getting the chance to watch them again is exciting.

Plus, the Red Wings’ future is bright, and they have a lot of players on this roster who are going to stick around through the end of the rebuild.

The Red Wings will play three games during the 2021 NHL Prospect Tournament spanning over the course of the tournament. The three games are as follows: (according to the Red Wings website)

  • Game 1: Tonight at 7 P.M. ET against the Dallas Stars
  • Game 2: Saturday at 7 P.M. ET against the St. Louis Blues
  • Game 3: Sunday at 6 P.M. ET against the Columbus Blue Jackets

For those who miss watching, the live stream will be available on the Detroit Red Wings website. Given the makeup of the roster, there are plenty of players to be excited about. Including some of the players to watch as training camp inches closer as well.

Perhaps the player who will have the most eyes on him is fourth overall pick from the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, Lucas Raymond, and those who are interested in checking out the team’s future.

Those who are in the Traverse City area can also head over to Centre Ice Arena if they want to take in a game in person. It’s an exciting opportunity, and Red Wings fans should be thrilled for this opportunity.

Some of these prospects who art participating in the 2021 NHL Prospect Tournament are going to be vying for roles with the AHL and NHL roster for the 2021-22 season. This is also a good chance to see a couple of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft selections who are going to participate, including first-rounder, Sebastian Cossa who is one of the team’s netminders.
