Detroit Red Wings VIDEO: Lucas Raymond grabs his first career goal

The Detroit Red Wings picked up a 4-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday night. During the contest, prospect Lucas Raymond was able to capture his first career NHL goal in just his third career NHL game.
After coming out of training camp and making the Detroit Red Wings roster, it’s been a quality start for Raymond. Even just three games in, he has continued to look good on the ice, and his first goal was a beauty.

Here we see Dylan Larkin carry the puck into the zone and then glide it up to Raymond. With a quick release, Raymond lets it go and grabs his first goal. It really is an excellent goal from the young Swede.

It’s a great feat for Raymond, and he’s officially gotten his first goal and first assist out of the way. Now the young Swedish forward can keep producing and focus on being an impact player on this Red Wings team.
It’s still very early in the season, but Raymond is looking quite talented and has been fun to watch on the team’s top line. Raymond should stick well and be an exciting player to watch for the long run.
It’s one heck of a start for the youngster. Raymond is going to develop in due time and be one of the team’s most exciting playmakers; this goal is the first of many. Red Wings fans should be plenty excited for what the future holds.
