The Detroit Red Wings are starting off their 2021-22 season, and they have allowed some prospects to have some extended ice time. They are the reason that the team is going to turn the corner eventually.

Moritz Seider is going to be of the more exciting players the Detroit Red Wings have as they start to come out of the rebuild and be a more competitive team. He was the first-round draft choice by Steve Yzerman when he took over as general manager of the Red Wings.

It’s been a few seasons since he was drafted, but Seider tore up the SHL last year and took home some hardware for his performance as well. But early on in his NHL career, he looks like he is going to be a more than capable defender.

The Red Wings have a good one with Seider, and he has started to prove that already. It may be early in his career, but Seider looks like he is going to be quite the defender for the Red Wings as a part of the future.

As the Red Wings continue on with their season, expect Moritz Seider to really start settling in as one of the team’s future core defensemen. Through five games played, Seider has four assists, he may still be searching for his first goal, but it will come.

Seider has looked comfortable on the team’s blueline. He’s been making plays, handling the puck well, and doing a good job finding the open man. It may be early, but it’s good to see Seider looking as comfortable as he is.

He’s been a quality defender for the Red Wings so far, and it’s been quality for them. He’s been a solid option on the blueline and is someone that the Red Wings are going to see him man the blueline for years to come.

His comfortability early on is a good thing; he has not been afraid to throw the body around and play physical, which is part of his calling card. Seider has also been on the team’s special teams efforts as a part of the power-play.

If he is able to hold this role and be the quarterback of a power-play, that would be great for the Red Wings organization. They already have someone like Filip Hronek who can do that, but adding in Seider works even better.
