The Lions’ offense proved to be the real deal last season as they leaned on a powerful offensive line to keep the chains moving.

They’ve only gotten better. Detroit’s offensive line remains intact, the running back room has been upgraded and the team also has a talented rookie tight end.

That means there should be PLENTY of worthwhile props to target tonight in what I’m expecting to be a high-scoring affair.

These are my best prop bets for Lions vs. Chiefs:

Lions vs. Chiefs Best Prop Bets

I’m going to start off with a Chiefs prop, because it’s SO difficult to only bet on one team.

Patrick Mahomes has thrown for 3+ touchdowns in EVERY SINGLE Week 1 game he’s played in.

Of course, us Lions fans won’t be rooting for Mahomes to score, but it might be inevitable, and if that’s the case, why not cash in on it?

Mahomes won’t have his typical supporting cast, but that might mean he might HAVE to create big scoring plays on his own rather than relying on a goal line rushing attack.

OK, enough about Kansas City.

There are several Lions props worth targeting in this game. My favorite player here is Amon-Ra St. Brown.

You could take the OVER on his receptions (6.5) or his yards (74.5) because he’s undoubtedly going to be the focal point of Detroit’s passing attack.

St. Brown averaged 7.1 receptions on 9.6 targets for 81.7 yards per game after last season’s TJ Hockenson trade, and you have to think Detroit will be passing deep into this game.

If you’re looking for another Lions’ prop bet to play, consider taking David Montgomery to score an anytime touchdown at +110 odds.

Jamaal Williams led the entire NFL in red zone rushing attempts last season and Montgomery is essentially this season’s version of Williams. Montgomery should get some goal line rushes behind one of the best offensive lines in the NFL.

Betting on him to find the end zone (something Williams did 10 times last season) is a gamble I’m willing to take.

Picks: Mahomes Over 2.5 Pass TDs (+135), St. Brown Over 6.5 receptions (-120) and Over 74.5 yards (-120), Montgomery Anytime TD (+110)
