You might not have loved how the NFL Draft played out for your Lions a few months ago, but it’s hard to argue with the results so far (Jahmyr Gibbs usage aside).

Former Alabama defensive back Brian Branch has been one of the most impressive additions so far, with a game-changing pick-six in Week 1 and four pass deflections through a 3-1 start.

Branch isn’t the favorite to win NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, but that’s exactly why this is the best time to bet on him to win.

Let’s dig into the odds on Branch.

NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Odds

It’s no surprise that Branch (+900 odds) isn’t the favorite to win this award, especially when you consider that his competition – Will Anderson Jr., Devon Witherspoon and Jalen Carter – were all selected in the top 10 in the NFL Draft.

But that also means Branch – the 45th overall pick – has more room to climb up the odds as he continues to prove himself at the NFL level.

If Branch can overcome his injury and still excel, it might only further his case as the best defensive rookie.
