The NFL trade deadline arrives tomorrow at 4 p.m., which means the Lions will get one last look at their team tonight before making any big-time roster moves.

That means some players will have ONE last game to prove to the front office that they belong in their role tonight against Las Vegas. But who exactly should you be watching tonight?

Let’s break it down:

3 Lions Playing for Their Jobs on Monday Night Football

This Lions team could already be good enough to make a deep postseason run as it stands, but as we saw in the Week 7 loss to Baltimore, it never hurts to have more help.

And it’s not often that teams (especially Detroit) are in a position where they can put themselves in contention for a Super Bowl if they make the right trade.

Of course, it’s unlikely that Detroit ships off any impact players, but if they add one, that would certainly move a player down the depth chart.

Here are the players who have one more shot to cement their status on this team tonight:

Jameson Williams, WR

Obviously Williams isn’t going anywhere, but he hasn’t really lived up to the hype this season aside from a long touchdown reception in the win over Tampa Bay.

Williams has just four receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown through three games played.

He had a slow start to the season due to a hamstring injury and a suspension and he hasn’t played in even half of the snaps in any game this season. With Marvin Jones Jr.’s recent release, having a reliable third WR is even more important now.

If Williams has a breakthrough game tonight, it could give the front office enough reason to hold off on trading for a receiver.

John Cominsky, DE

Aidan Hutchinson has been everything Lions fans could have hoped for and more, but he could use some help on the opposite side of the defensive line.

Cominsky has just 12 tackles and 1 sack through seven games and depth at the position is thin, with Julian Okwara (2 tackles, 1 sack) and Charles Harris (10 tackles, 1.5 sacks) backing up Cominsky.

There might not be much Cominsky can do to change perception in one game, but he can’t hurt his stock with a big game tonight.

Jerry Jacobs, CB

Jacobs is in the midst of a breakout season with the Lions. The third-year cornerback already has 29 tackles, five pass breakups and three interceptions.

But he’s still a bit of a question mark in a defensive secondary that includes proven players like Cam Sutton and Tracy Walker III along with impressive youngsters like Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch.

When you also consider how thin the depth is behind Jacobs at cornerback, it only makes sense that the team makes SOME sort of move to add to the back end of its defense.

However, Jacobs could still force his way onto the field if he keeps up his strong play.
