Lions’ Star St. Brown Makes Big Announcement for MNF Game Status
It’s no question that the Lions’ passing attack works best when Amon-Ra St. Brown is on the field and Lions fans can breathe easy after his announcement today – for the most part.
St. Brown is reportedly planning to play tonight against Las Vegas despite battling an illness, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. That’s no small news for a Lions team in desperate need of a bounce-back win on national TV.
Let’s break down what this might mean for tonight’s game (and learn how to bet on the Lions with no sweat at Caesars):
Amon-Ra St. Brown Plans to Play vs. Raiders
St. Brown has already missed a game this season (and has yet to play Week 8) and is STILL ninth in the NFL in receptions, 11th in targets, 14th in receiving yards and 14th in receiving touchdowns.
Even if he’s not 100% (hard to see how he is), St. Brown is still a serviceable decoy and big-play threat, at the least.
Lions fans are all-too-familiar with how thin the WR room gets after St. Brown, too.
Josh Reynolds has been an offseason steal so far with 384 yards and 3 TDs, but Khalif Raymond (207 yards, TD) and Jameson Williams (55 yards, TD) haven’t been reliable options just yet.
Detroit is hungry for a win after getting embarrassed by Baltimore, and it should be a good sign for Lions fans that one of the team’s stars is willing to gut it out to suit up and play.
