5. Jose Cisnero, RP

One of the longest-tenured Tigers, Cisnero’s fifth season in Detroit was his worst.

His ERA ballooned north of 5.00 with a 1.48 WHIP in 59 ⅓ innings. Coming off an abysmal season as a 34-year–old reliever isn’t a good recipe for a player who’s in need of a new contract.

Cisnero did have a sub-4.00 ERA in the three seasons before 2023, so there may be some reason to hold out hope, but his age isn’t working in his favor here.

It makes more sense for Detroit to call up a reliever or make a move for a younger option.
