Even if the Lions don't opt to put the defender on the team's first 53-man roster, it would be surprising not to see him stick around as a practice squad piece. While the path remains open to the active roster, it is always an uphill battle for an undrafted player to make the team based simply on a higher investment level into other pieces.
With that said, the contract the Lions offered the lineman, along with the clear development upside, leaves Keanaaina as one of the more exciting offseason underdog stories for fans to keep an eye on.
