The slow portion of the offseason will wrap up this month, as everyone will be back in the building for training camp.

The Detroit Lions saw defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn leave to become the head coach with the New York Jets. It was a reunion for the 52-year-old, as he was drafted in the first round by New York in 1994 and spent eight seasons there.

He looks to change the culture in New York, and running back Breece Hall already feels good about the new regime.

In an interview that was posted on the team website, Hall said, "I think people think the new coaching staff and new GM means a rebuild, but we have a lot of really good players on the roster, so we're trying to win now. And I think a lot of people from the outside are going to take that for granted and not realize that we actually have a team."

Aaron Glenn Has Jets Playing to Win in 2025

Even though New York went 5-12 in 2024, they do have some quality players on the roster, like Hall, Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, Will McDonald, and Quinnen Williams, to name a few. Anything can happen on any given Sunday in the NFL, and Glenn isn't going to waste a year.

This approach isn't surprising since Glenn is coming from Detroit. Under Dam Campbell, they never packed things up. They came out hungry and aggressive in every matchup, improving their win total in every season.

A key to being competitive is good coaching and winning the battle at the line of scrimmage. Glenn is looking to bring that over to the Jets, and they have a chance to do so. New York's offensive line consists of Olu Fashanu, John Simpson, Joe Tippmann, Alijah Vera-Tucker, and Armand Membou from left to right. That unit has the potential to be a Top 10 offensive line, and that will spell great things for Hall and the offense.

Glenn has these guys buying in already, and they're ready to take the field for the 2025 campaign.
