The buildup to the NFL Draft has been dominated by Jameson Williams trade buzz, making this a much more stressful time for Detroit Lions fans than it needs to be.

This team is just one or two pieces away from being likely Super Bowl favorites, and the offense in particular is one of the best in the NFL. Wide receiver depth is a bit of a weakness though, and losing their second-best playmaker at the position would be a huge blow.

Williams doesn't seem too worried about the buzz though, and his social media activity is being perceived as a subtle not to his likely future in Detroit.

Williams ("waymo" in the screenshot) liked a post from the Woodward Sports Network about how great the new Detroit Lions' locker room is.

Is "liking" a post proof that he won't be traded? Obviously not. But if there was public buzz about how your employer was about to get rid of you and you believed it, how interested would you be in getting hyped up about posts about their facilities?

Of course, this is something fans are trying to read into so deeply because the trade rumors also don't make a lot of sense.

Williams just turned 24 years old, and last was easily the best of his young career, racking up 1,062 yards from scrimmage with eight touchdowns in the regular season, and adding a 61-yard touchdown rush in his lone playoff game.

He's already looking like one of the NFL's most explosive playmakers, and he's still growing. The Lions have him under contract for just $5.4 million in 2025 and have a team option for a fifth year on his contract.

This is about the most team-friendly situation you're going to find, and it wouldn't make any sense to move him.

Luckily, Williams seems to think that too.
