The Detroit Lions have some holes that they need to fill this offseason, and the defensive line is at the top of the list. Aidan Hutchinson is their star pass rusher, but he can't do everything alone, highlighting the Lions' need for another disruptor on the frontline.

Al-Quadin Muhammad stepped into that role this season, finishing with a career-high 11 sacks; however, he's going to hit free agency, and a return isn't guaranteed. With no guarantee that he'll return, there could be a void along the defensive front, but the Packers have a defensive lineman hitting the open market that would be a nice fit in Detroit.

And that's Kingsley Enagbare.

Kingsley Enagbare Should Be on Lions Radar This Offseason

Enagbare spent the first four years of his career with the Packers, providing them with a solid rotational piece. The biggest positive about him is his availability. He hasn't missed a game over his four-year career, which isn't something they saw with Marcus Davenport, as he was inactive in 24 games between 2024 and 2025.

Enagbare stands 6-foot-4, weighing 258 pounds. He would give them a bigger EDGE on the outside who can help against the run game while having the ability to get after the quarterback. In 68 career games, he had 146 total tackles, 25 TFLs, 31 QB hits, and 11.5 sacks.

Down the stretch, former Green Bay defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley leaned on Enagbare with Micah Parsons sidelined. But since Hafley is no longer in town, the 26-year-old defender may look to land elsewhere. The Lions need more playmakers upfront aside from Hutchinson. That's a priority for this team, and that's why Enagbare would knock out two birds with one stone.

Primarily, Enagbare would bolster the trenches and give this team a player who could stay on the field for all three downs. Not only would it make Detroit a better team, but it would weaken a division rival at the same time.

According to Spotrac, Enagbare has a market value of $5.9 million per season, projecting him to land a two-year $11.8 million contract in free agency. That's not a hefty contract in the slightest, which is perfect since Hutchinson inked a four-year, $180 million extension.

Lions general manager Brad Holmes needs to get creative to get another force on the other side, and the idea of Enagbare has to be appealing. This addition shouldn't stop them from potentially adding more in the NFL draft, but it would certainly raise the floor of that unit.

The Lions must be tactical this offseason, and adding Enagbare seems like a wise decision.
