The Detroit Lions are 12-2 on the season but had their 11-game win streak come to an end in Week 15. The Buffalo Bills came into Ford Field and beat the Lions 48-42.

With three games left in the regular season, the Lions are still the No. 1 seed in the NFC and seek home-field advantage throughout the postseason.

The Lions are resilient, as they have an NFL-high 21 players on IR. The list appears to get longer after each week, and that isn't ideal with the playoffs rapidly approaching.

The Lions offense is still dynamic and explosive but will be without running back David Montgomery, who suffered an MCL injury. Although there's a slim chance of him returning to the field, the Lions will have to weather the storm without him. They may have to rely on the passing attack more and could be willing to take a chance on a Pro Bowl WR who was just released.

NFL News: Diontae Johnson Got Waived by Baltimore Ravens

On Friday, Diontae Johnson was waived by the Baltimore Ravens. They acquired him on Oct. 29, when Baltimore sent a 2025 fifth-round pick to Carolina in exchange for Johnson and a 2025 sixth-round pick.

Things quickly turned for the worse with the Ravens. Johnson only played in 39 snaps, notching one catch for six yards. He even got suspended for one game by the team after he refused to enter the Week 13 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The situation just didn't work out in Baltimore but that doesn't mean it wouldn't work with the Lions. Detroit has a strong infrastructure and foundation. They could be a great location for Johnson and get the best out of him.

In seven games with the Panthers this season, Johnson reeled in 30 catches for 357 yards and three touchdowns. Across 89 career games, the Toledo product has 422 receptions for 4,726 yards and 28 touchdowns.

He has shown the ability to be an effective playmaker in the league and the Lions may look to take a gamble on Johnson on the waiver wire.
