As if Detroit Lions fans needed another reason to fall in love with Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown, the stars continue to illustrate their dedication to the franchise. With practice over and players free to move on, the duo remained in the building working on getting extra reps and continuing to build already impressive chemistry. It is exactly the type of focus you want to see your stars reflecting at this point in the preseason.
Detroit is under immense pressure after putting together an incredible 2024 season and falling short in the playoffs. Not only are fan expectations understandably high, but the Lions are no longer going to be overlooked by anyone. After establishing the franchise as one of the league's prestige teams, each week is going to be the absolute best shot from the opponent.
The Lions have the needed talent to handle this, but must maintain an elite level of focus that the star quarterback and receiver are already demonstrating. It also serves as yet another in a long list of reasons for fans to continue to put their arms around a quarterback that remains disrespected.

Lions Stars Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown Continue to Impress Detroit Fans
Eric Woodyard posted a video of the Detroit Lions stars sticking around after practice to continue to earn extra reps. It isn't as if either Goff or St. Brown hasn't gotten enough time together. However, the duo's focus speaks to the required greatness that it takes to make a deep postseason run. This is exactly what you see truly great quarterbacks and pass catchers do to prepare for a season. Greatness demands an insane level of focus, and if that is Detroit's goal, this is exactly what fans want to see.
Goff has every reason for frustration as the quarterback continues to be overlooked and disrespected in rankings. The veteran has taken a team to a Super Bowl and helped turn around a struggling franchise in Detroit. Everywhere he has started winning has followed. Yet, there seems to be this hesitation to embrace the quarterback's obvious accomplishments.
For the Lions, perhaps this is good news and will continue to fuel the veteran as Detroit gets ready for the 2025 season. It isn't going to be an easy road with the franchise now among the league's hunted teams. All the more reason to do exactly what St. Brown and Goff are giving themselves every possible chance to improve and be ready for a pivotal 2025 season.
