The Lions escaped a monumental divisional contest against the Packers with a narrow three-point victory, though it sounds like Detroit's players have no love lost or expecations for Green Bay following the win.

DE Za'Darius Smith apparently enjoyed famous rapper Lil Wayne's company on Saturday night. As Wayne explained on NFL GameDay, Smith has no faith in his divisional rivals and now the Packers know that the Lions don't respect them.

It was a close game, though the wounds go deeper than the final score.

Za'Darius Smith Calls Out Packers After Lions Win

Smith has been an excellent addition to the Lions. He has two sacks in his four games with Detroit, establishing himself as a reliable pass-rusher who can help replace the injured Aidan Hutchinson.

There's no question that this Lions team can win the Super Bowl. What was a concern, however, was the pass rush. Smith's acquisition curves those issues and proves that a capable defensive coordinator can scheme up a ferocious attack when provided with the right personnel.

So far this season, Smith has 30 tackles but eight sacks. Long considered one of the best edge players in the NFL, Smith completely changes the calculus for this team.

He's a bonafide Pro Bowler who could earn All-Pro consideration. Regardless, Smith helps provide the defensive line with some juice to help match what the offense is capable of.

The Lions are built in the trenches. Their offensive line is elite though it may mean nothing if the defensive line can't match that production. Thanks to Smith, they just might.
