The Detroit Pistons are putting the finishing touches on their 2025 offseason as Trajan Langdon fills out the remaining two-way contract spots on the final roster.

With his superb play throughout Detroit's stay at Las Vegas Summer League, Daniss Jenkins was an obvious top choice for one of these gigs, but his performance in the Sin City also made him a potential flight risk ahead of training camp.

However, Pistons fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief in regards to the young guard.

Pistons Sign Summer League Star Daniss Jenkins to Two-Way Contract

As first reported by Keith Smith of Spotrac, Daniss Jenkins is re-signing with the Pistons on a two-way contract. By extending a qualifying offer to Jenkins at the end of the 2024-25 season, the guard was made a restricted free agent, showcasing obvious interest from Detroit in bringing him back.

Jenkins earned his spot on Detroit's roster with his play this summer. In five appearances in Las Vegas, Jenkins averaged 14.0 points to go along with 5.4 assists, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 22.6 minutes per game. For a player like that to already be in your system, retaining his services this summer is a big win for the front office.

Jenkins was just as effective in 47 appearances with the Motor City Cruise last season, owning averages of 18.5 points, 6.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.4 steals in 35.7 minutes per game. Those numbers earned him a spot on the All-NBA G League Rookie Team for the 2024-25 campaign.

As noted by HoopsRumors.com, Jenkins may have simply accepted the qualifying offer from Detroit, which came with a modest guarantee of $85,000. In total, his two-way contract with the Pistons is worth $636,435, or half of the rookie minimum. He is also allowed to appear in a maximum of 50 games for Detroit this season as part of this deal.

With Jenkins having officially signed his new deal, he joins Tolu Smith and Colby Jones as the Pistons' two-way players.
