Pistons Favored Over Jazz Despite 24-Game Losing Streak

The Pistons are a two-point favorite over Utah tonight in what may be their last chance to avoid a historic losing streak

It’s finally happened! No, not the Pistons winning, but at least oddsmakers think they can!

Detroit is favored over the Utah Jazz by two points tonight at some sportsbooks – just the third time it’s been favored to win a game all season long.

A litany of key injuries to the Jazz have caused this line to swing in the Pistons’ favor, but a win is a win and we DESPERATELY need one right now to avoid being an ugly footnote in NBA history!

Pistons News: Detroit Favored By 2 Points Over Utah

Utah will be missing several impact players tonight, including: Lauri Markkanen, Jordan Clarkson, Talen Horton-Tucker and Keyonte George.

That’s 62.2 points per game missing from the lineup!

Detroit is still without Jalen Duren and Monte Morris, with Killian Hayes listed as a game-time decision, but this squad should be able to beat a HEAVILY depleted Jazz team.

Still, it says a lot that the Pistons are only two-point favorites on their home court.

Detroit is two games away from tying the NBA record for the most consecutive losses in one season – the 2010-11 Cavs and 2013-14 Sixers each lost 26 straight games before winning again.

Up next is back-to-back games with Brooklyn before taking on the Celtics in Boston.

If that slump isn’t broken tonight, there’s a very good chance that Detroit will soon own the worst losing streak in NBA history.
