The Detroit Red Wings look to win their third-straight game tonight as they face the Boston Bruins at Joe Louis Arena.

The Detroit Red Wings beat the Montreal Canadiens 1-0 on Monday for their second straight win. Jared Coreau got his second shutout of the season and Thomas Vanek got the only goal in the game.

Jared Coreau once again played well, and he should get the majority of the starts for the Red Wings as he has clearly outplayed Petr Mrazek.

The Red Wings, who beat the defending Stanley Cup champs on Saturday, beat the division leading Canadiens on Monday.

The Red Wings have now won two-straight and are getting closer in the Wild Card race. They’re six points out of third place in the Atlantic and six points back of Philadelphia for the second Wild Card.

The Red Wings have been leaning on fresh faces lately thanks to Andreas Athanasiou, Anthony Mantha, and Dylan Larkin.

Tonight, the Boston Bruins come to the Joe Louis Arena. The Bruins are coming off a 4-0 loss to the New York Islanders on Monday night.

The Red Wings last played the Bruins back on October 29th which they lost 1-0. That loss snapped a six game winning streak for the Red Wings.
