On-field testing continues at the 2017 NFL Combine Saturday with the quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends taking their turn.

The 2017 NFL Combine moves on to day two of on-field testing today. After the specialists, offensive linemen and running backs got thing started yesterday, it’s the quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends who will get their chance today.

Drafting an offensive lineman or running back isn’t out of the question, but today’s workout should be more relevant for Detroit Lions fans. In particular, some of the early buzz at the Combine has been the Lions’ interest in this class of tight ends and that they could look to draft one early.

Here is a rundown of what to expect, with details for how you can follow along on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. ET.

In addition to tight ends, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Lions add another developmental quarterback in this draft. Jake Rudock is poised to take over primary backup duties with Dan Orlovsky not returning to the team, but comments from Bob Quinn indicate Rudock will be given every opportunity to win the job, not just given the job outright.

The picture is less clear at wide receiver where Golden Tate and Marvin Jones are established at the top of the depth chart. After that, the Lions may or may not look to bring Anquan Boldin back and/or could look to younger players already in the fold to take on an increased role.

Next up will be the defensive linemen and linebackers taking the field on Sunday.
