Cornerbacks:

The Lions cornerback position is a major place of concern in Detroit. Not only did the Lions NOT add a defensive back in the first-round of the NFL Draft, (as many experts and fans thought they would) but they then cut Chris Houston over the summer, citing injuries as the reason for his release.

This leaves second-year corner, Darius Slay as the potential starter alongside long time league veteran, Rasheen Mathis.

More from Detroit Lions

Slay had a shaky season in 2013 so it will be interesting (and possibly nerve-racking) to see how he handles stepping into the starting role and covering the likes of Brandon Marshall, Greg Jennings, and Jordy Nelson twice per year.

Cassius Vaughn and Bill Bentley will likely fill spots two and three with rookie Nevin Lawson and Jonte Green fighting for the No. 4 position.

Chris Greenwood could be the odd man out with injury issues a concern.

My Early Prediction: Slay-CB1, Mathis-CB2, Vaughn-CB3, Bentley-Nickelback,
