Brady Hoke has been the Head Coach at the University of Michigan since 2011. Since that time only his first season can be considered truly successful. That season the Michigan Wolverines went 11-2 and won the Sugar Bowl. The other two years he went 8-5 and 7-6, which by Michigan standards is sub par at best.
Rich Rodriquez got 3 years to turn the team around and then was fired of course he was not a “Michigan Man.” Brady Hoke a Michigan Man is now on his fourth year and unless he can manage to win 10 games should be fired.

This puts Brady Hoke squarely on the hot seat where he has managed to put him self. By replacing Al Borges with Doug Nussmeier from Alabama he is trying to get back to Michigan’s roots of 3 yards and a cloud of dust.
Michigan had never really had a down turn like this but ever since Lloyd Carr retired they have been on a down ward spiral. Now do not get me wrong I was all for Lloyd Carr leaving he had not had a really good year in a long time when he finally retired in 2007.
Hiring Doug Nussmeier could be a blessing and a curse for Brady Hoke, if the team falters you might have just hired your replacement and if they win he may just leave for a different Head Coaching position.
At worse they should go 9-3 in the regular season and then take their chances in whatever bowl game they make. At best they will go 10-2 which is what I think they will go.
Here is how I break down their schedule:
- Appalachian State University August 30 win
- at Notre Dame Fighting Irish September 6 win or loss
- Miami (OH) Red Hawks September 13 win
- Utah Utes September 20 win
- Minnesota Golden Gophers September 27 win
- at Rutgers Scarlet Knights October 4 win
- Penn State Nittany Lions October 11 win
- at Michigan State University October 25 loss
- Indiana Hoosiers November 1 win
- at Northwestern Wildcats November 8 win
- Maryland Terrapins November 22 win
at Ohio Buckeyes November 29 loss
Now as you see I have them going 9-2 with a toss-up game at Notre Dame September 6 which I believe they will win. That should be enough to allow Brady Hoke will keep his job for now. Hoke needs to remember he has brought this heat upon himself. Hopefully the Michigan Wolverines can put things together; win the 10 games and save Brady Hokes job.
