Detroit Lions rookie defensive tackle Caraun Reid has been added to the Detroit Lions injury report with a reportedly undisclosed illness.
The #Lions are adding DT Caraun Reid to the injury report due to an illness. He's still probable to play Sunday vs. Tampa.

The good news is that the rookie is listed as probable and is still expected to play on Sunday vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Reid was the fifth-round pick of the Lions out of Princeton in last May’s NFL Draft.
He has seen an increase in playing time since Nick Fairley went down with in an injury while over seas in London. He has been listed on the active roster in all 12 games this season as a reserve behind Ndamukong Suh, C.J. Mosley and Fairley. In the 12 games played, he has two tackles, four quarterback hurries, and one batted pass.
While Reid has played decent in his rookie campaign, some expected a little more out of him — particularly after his stellar showing at the senior bowl.
He was a two-time all-league selection before earning all-city and all-state honors as a senior at Mount St. Michael Academy, Bronx, NY.
In 2009, he recorded 34 total tackles, 4.5 tackles-for-loss and a half sack as a true freshman. In 2010, he only played in one game and redshirted after suffering a season-ending pectoral injury. In 2011, he registered 68 total tackles, 16 tackles-for-loss and eight sacks with a forced and recovered fumble and earned first team All-Ivy League.
I was also very wrong on Caraun Reid. Not that he won't be good, he still has a good chance to be, but I expected decent impact as a rookie

Reid has exceptional first-step quickness and snap count anticipation. Under the guidance of Teryl Austin, and with all the potiental in the world, the Priceton graduate could find himself replacing wither Suh or Fairly in 2015.
