A lot of important decisions will be have to be made by the Lions front office.
After having a top 3 defense for the first time in decades a repeat of a strong defense will be vital for a postseason run in the 2015 NFL season. A big part of that postseason run will depend on the broad shoulders of Ndamukong Suh.
Suh is one of the most controversial players in the NFL. He’s been named the dirtiest player in the NFL by his peers and mainstream media has blasted him for his unsportsmanlike ways for years.
Except for as much hate and drama that comes with Suh there’s no denying his game-changing talent. He’s been named to the Pro Bowl 3 times out of his 4 seasons in the Honolulu blue.

He was a big reason the Lions had the top rushing defense in the league. He’d be constantly double teamed and eased the pressure his teammates felt.
On the field Suh is an outstanding player that has the ability to directly alter the course of the game.
When he’s not doing something stupid that is.
His on-field issues has been documented to the point of sickness for Lions fans. He’s been fined, suspended, and ridiculed to the point of exhaustion.
He was almost suspended for the playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. All these on-field problems leave Suh with a huge question mark. Will teams want to bet on such a constant on-field problem?
Except is he such a big problem? All signs point to him being a solid character guy off the field. ESPN did a wonderful article on Suh and his interesting personality.
When Suh was drafted the local media praised him along with showers of compliments. On what? You guessed it, his mild nature and his politeness.

Unfortunately for him, the reality of the situation now is the magnifying glass he has to deal with. Every move and step he takes will be over-analyzed.
There’s no denying the on-field problem that Suh created with the Lions and creates potentially with a new team. Teams will still have to be wary though of that possible situation.
To put even a more interesting spin on things Suh has been said that he will let his agent decide where he plays next season. So the Lions and bidding teams will have to take that into consideration.
All in all Suh is an intriguing player for any team looking to add talent to their defensive line. He has the credentials and the ability to perform at a high level.
But will it be worth it?
Nobody knows, except for Suh that is. He can continue to be an on-field drama case or act calm with the pleasures of one of the most expensive contracts in the NFL.
Now, your thoughts. What’s your general perception of Suh? Do you think he’ll resign with the Lions? Or will he sign with a different team? Whatever the case, Suh will be paid handsomely next year by a team that needs some help for their defense.
