While the Lions do need an upgrade at the return spots, does it have to be Devin Hester? At 32 years old Hester turned in a surprisingly good season. After breaking Deion Sanders all time return record he capped the season off with a 4th Pro Bowl appearance. While that’s all well and good it doesn’t make sense for the Lions to take a chance on the will be 33-year-old.
Hester has always been a tremendous return man, but his receiving has been lackluster his whole career. At the end of the day if the Lions made this move I guess I wouldn’t complain too much. But wouldn’t you rather have a guy that can contribute everywhere?
