Detroit’s current cornerbacks are: Darius Slay, Bill Bentley, Rasheen Mathis, Crezdon Butler, Nate Ness, Mohammed Seisay and Josh Wilson.

They certainly are not the most well-known group but the huge lead forward Slay took and the solid play of Mathis helped the Lions become a pretty good defense last year. But, with Mathis set to turn 35 this year, you have to wonder how much he has left in the tank. Detroit’s other cornerbacks have had tough times staying healthy or just have not been that impressive.

At 23, some of the best cornerbacks like Trae Waynes could be off the board. However, if a top prospect is there, take him. Or wait until the later rounds and grab a solid pick.
