Detroit Lions 2015 Schedule: Two Monday Night Football Games On Tap

What a difference a playoff appearance makes! When Lions fans usually look over a new schedule they hope and pray Detroit gets to appear in at least one prime time game. Being featured in one of the NFL’s showcase games is usually an indicator that a team has arrived on the national scene. That appears to be the case for the Lions as they will be featured in four prime time games including two Monday Night Football match-ups.

Sunday, September 27th – Week 3 vs Denver Broncos
Football Night in America on NBC
Start Time: 8:30 pm
The Lions will host Matt Prater’s former team in an early season test of playoff hopefuls. Peyton Manning and the Broncos will need this game badly in what promises to be a tight AFC West division. The Lions pressure defense will be an early test of Peyton Manning who considered retirement this offseason.
Monday, October 5th – Week 4 at Seattle Seahawks

Start Time: 8:30pm
The road trip on Monday night to Seattle looms large on the Detroit Lions primetime schedule. The Week 4 ESPN match-up will probably have postseason implications if both teams find themselves in playoff contention at the end of the season.

Another big road game for the Lions with big playoff implications. The Saints will likely be in the playoff hunt and will host the Lions in a game that could eliminate the loser from the playoffs.
