Marcus Rush is certainly not a lock to be selected at all in the 2015 NFL Draft, but he brings enough to the table for teams to consider him in the final round. And if he’s not selected, he’s likely to sign with a team as a free agent and get a shot in camp. ESPN did not rank Rush, but Walter Football and NFL Draft Scout both project him as 7-FA. The NFL.com mock draft has him going in the seventh round to the Denver Broncos at #251 overall.

NFL Draft Scout notes that Rush put up impressive numbers at Michigan State’s pro day.

"Pass rusher Marcus Rush didn’t receive an invitation to the NFL Combine so he needed a positive showing at Wednesday’s pro day. And he stepped up with above average numbers… A four-year starter, Rush set the Michigan State record for career starts (53) and although his tweener skill-set limits his next level options, his performance on tape and at the pro day will earn him a chance in the NFL."

There’s a good chance Rush’s name isn’t called on the final day of the draft, but the optimistic fan can expect a seventh-round selection.
