NFL fans treat the selection of punters with little fanfare, but not having a reliable option can be a problem. Mike Sadler apparently brings enough to the game with his leg to warrant late-round consideration. Walter Football lists the dual-threat punter/holder as a possible sixth round choice, though seventh round or not drafted at all seem like safer bets. NFL Draft Scout ranks Sadler as the third-best punting option available and gives a 7th-FA projection.

Sadler was not selected in the NFL.com mock draft, and isn’t specifically called out as an undrafted free agent signing either. That might just be punter descrimination, however.
