Offensive Line

The offensive line is just as experienced as the backfield. Between the five potentials starters, they have 77 starts between them.

LT Mason Cole , LG Ben Braden, C Graham Glasgow, RG Kyle Kalis and RT Erik Magnuson have primarily earned a starting spot. Other than Glasgow taking over for the retired Jack Miller at center, the unit is basically intact.

Redshirt sophomore Patrick Kugler, who was battling Glasgow for the center position, was seen Saturday night on crutches.

Kalis, whose notoriety spans much further than the playing field, created quite a stir after he first committed to the Buckeyes.

When Ohio coach Jim Tressel resigned in May, 2011 over the tattoo scandal, Kalis flipped to Michigan and joined the 2012 class.

The Buckeyes had been proud of keeping the best players from the State of Ohio away from the Wolverines, but that began to change.

“I believe the Michigan-Ohio border is now open, said Kalis who was rated by rivals.com as the 22nd best player in the nation. “I think you’re going to see eight or nine guys from the state of Ohio going over to Michigan this year.”
