QUARTERBACK

Stafford is the owner of one of the more unique fantasy scoring stats that you will read today. Two of the past three seasons he has eclipsed 4,200 passing yards without surpassing 22 touchdowns which as only happened five times in NFL history.

Despite piling up impressive yardage totals year after year he hasn’t been able to consistently throw touchdown’s in the red zone which limits his fantasy appeal. His current ADP (average draft position) according to ESPN has him as the 11th quarterback off the board despite him finishing 15th in QB rankings last season.

A healthy Calvin Johnson is going to be the key to his fantasy season as the pair connected for only eight touchdowns last year. I think Stafford will have a better season this year as I think their running game will be more consistent as well. A top ten fantasy season is in the cards and getting him any later than that in your draft will make him a great value.

I think he will again eclipse 4200 yards and be right at 30 touchdowns which should put him in the top eight come season end.  I should mention that Dan Orlovsky is currently the backup and if you are considering drafting him you should join my league.
